And I accept, thank-you. Sorry I was on the defense. Now that we're best buds, a question. Do you mean to tell me that YOU ratted out my "Zzzzzzzzzzz" comments to the moderaters? lmao, I was wondering what in that was post was so "bad" lmao

Haha I had nothing to do with "ratting" you out!! I've never done that to anyone :)
No, there are moderators here who look at every post for inappropriate content like profanity, etc. Sometimes, in their judgement, they will edit out words which they feel will be inflammatory to the poster they are addressed to. We have no control of what they edit out. Sometimes (probably most times) ad hominen attacks are also edited out. If a discussion gets too heated, they will have the post taken outside. You'll notice the very last category at the very bottom of the opening screen is entitled "Take It Outside". You might see other posters here refer to it as "TIO". If you have time, take a look... Sometimes it's fun reading!

the people that like 50's music have to be in their 60's by now" , etc.
46, and I like 40s music too.

It's not how old the songs are. It's how good.

You're passionate about the music you love...and that's fine.

But radio is not about "loving" music. Radio is a business. And an overabundance of 50's music will not deliver the audience demographic overall that the advertisers desire. It's a proven fact. The professionals on this radio board (not the mobile DJ's who've never been on the air in a radio station, or the record collectors, or oldies fanatics who constantly try to tell us our business without any knowledge or understanding of how it works) understand this.

Hey...I'm 50. I like most of the 50's music, too. But I understand, as a business, the format needs to change at least somewhat if it is to survive.
