Available through cbs.com, Innertube initially will stream three new cheap-to-produce shows daily, with a new program premiering each day as part of a rotating schedule.The site also will accommodate "encores" of episodes from CBS' prime-time lineup as well as series "that didn't reach a mass audience, but have a loyal, passionate following that lends itself to Internet appeal."Original programming scheduled to premiere this month includes:•Greek to Chic, described as a "college makeover series."•BBQ Bill, a scripted sketch comedy series starring Rick Najera (Mad TV).•Animate This!, humorous events in celebrities' personal lives are turned into narrated cartoons.•Beyond Survivor, a behind-the-scenes look at the long-running reality hit.CBS also has a slate of Innertube programming being developed for this summer. Among the attractions:•Inturn, in which aspiring young thespians endure a "soap opera boot camp" in hopes of being cast on CBS' As the World Turns.•Hook Me Up, a "unique twist" on on-line dating.•Repurposed episodes of the failed CBS reality series Fire Me...Please.•The Green Room, a "somewhat irreverent look" at CBS programming.•Showtime Shorts, a selection of "quirky and comedic" short films that first aired on the premium cable channel.Nancy Tellem, president of the CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, envisions Innertube as a "content playground where new talent and ideas are discovered, and proven talent can bring their passion projects."
