CBS needs to blow up 1210 AM

They are also broadcasting on 99.9 from one of their daytime towers, to fix the large null they have to the north/east, although not in stereo.
 
Andy Bloom and Marc Rayfield were stupid by hiring dick Morris last year. They can't air Hannity live as a result. 1210 has gone to the dogs and I refuse to listen to a poorly run radio station .
 
cbs may sell WPHT & WIP---610. And buy an FM station & air------ KYW--AM--FM --- All News. ( in the future).
 
I could see 1210, 610, 950, 990, 560, being sold in years to come.
but--who would buy them & air what on them? And---who would listen?

Philly doesn't need a poorly run talk station like WPHT. Andy Bloom and Marc Rayfeild have ruined this station.
 
Once again, last night I tuned in at 1AM to hear Coast to Coast and Hannity was on. Dont get me wrong I love Hannity but why at this time taking the time from CTCAM. Hannity should be on at 3PM until 6PM. Like I said, if they dont want to air CTCAM the way it was meant to be aired unload it. I am sure some other outlet in the city would be glad to pick it up. Thank goodness WWVA was coming in strong last night.

Really? Like who? It's also on a small station in Hammonton. Syndicated shows like this one in an unrated daypart are insignificant to the station. They're doing the syndicators a big favor by running any of it. The show makes a lot more money by being on PHT than it does from some pea shooter.

1210 needs to address this. I would complain to WPHT about this because they need to air Hannity Live and drop Dick Morris. Morris is a liability to the station.
 
Hannity was no boon to the station. They got stuck taking the show because of Limbaugh, no more, no less. Hannity at night means more valuable real estate (all things being relative) for more local spots. Better for the business, and it is a business.

There's nothing for them to address, and a number of people you can count on one hand complaining about a graveyard filler show is irrelevant to the business.

You "would" complain? You HAVE complained, over and over. As we've said many times, Morris is a local show. Hannity is not. Their priority is local talk. The syndication just fills in the fringe time.

then why air a syndicated show on a 6 hour delay? WPHT should not be like WLS, WJR in airing tape delayed talk shows at night. WPHT was doing just fine with live and local talk at night until late last year. they should have never messed with the schedule. I don't care what anyone says, 1210 is one of the worst radio stations in Philly and I'm not changing my opinion on it.

Because they want their local shows in prime time. Typically a Rush station is required to carry Hannity, whether they want to or not. And they were able to leverage their major market clear of Rush to allow them to delay Hannity rather than pre-empt their own local show. This way, they make more money, which is what they want to do. This is not an accident. This was a calculated decision. That's why they won't change it, regardless of your opinion.

then in that case, 1210 sucks for doing this and I will never listen to them again. dick morris should be off the air now, and everyone knows it was a bad hiring by Bloom and Rayfeild. 1210 was doomed the moment they hired Morris.
