Is this true? Heard from a friend, that CBS gave it the green light. And Grace Park from Battlestar Galactica will play 'Kono'. A role previously played by the actor Zulu.. Who would they cast as McGarrett's arch enemy 'Wofat'?

And if you're wondering, the producers does plan to awknowlege the new Steve McGarrett as the son of the original and the new Chin Ho Kelly as the original's protege.

FreddyE1977 said:As a loyal fan of the original, this is NOT good news. In my view they can only screw it up (much as Hollywood does every time they mangle old shows I used to like before bringing them to the big screen).
I bet not even the theme song survives in a recognizable form. The fact that they've chosen a female to play Kono is your first give away. Wo Fat will be on Nutrisystem and no longer Chinese. And I don't even want to think about what they're going to do to McGarrett.

Make him an Aussie? (The new McGarrett, Alex O'Loughlin, is Australian.)
Could be even more worse -- McGarrett could've been black (like they did with Kojak).
Team America said:They MUST bring back 'Wofat'! Wofat is to Steve McGarrett, As Lex Luthor is to Superman. Pure Evil. A sinister criminal..
If they do it correctly, bringing 'Wofat' back would prove to be a win, win! Khiegh Dhiegh, played him well. Right up to the
last episode in 1980, when McGarrett finally caught him. Btw, watch the final episode from 1980. Priceless dialogue between
McGarrett & Wofat, at the end..

A few other things I hope to see in the new version, but probably won't happen.
The Character 'Duke' was a member of HPD & wore a uniform, until he got promoted, & joined Five-O f/t in 1977. Herman Wedemeyer
played him. Hopefully his character returns.
McGarrett always drove a Black Mercury. Hopefully that will continue. And Ford will once again provide the Five-O cars...
But please no Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car for McGarrett..
Keep the production of the show in Hawaii. That would be great!
