If you're getting static when tuning in to your favorite radio station, PNM says its most likely the wind, in fact, the wind knocked off the power to all the facilities on Sandia Crest, causing numerous Albuquerque radio stations to go off the air since this morning and many are still off. A lot of these stations have their radio signal towers up on the Sandia Crest that includes many operated by Clear Channel.Static is the sound you'll here when going to stations like 107.9 and The Peak.
