What is most annoying is how really great people are cut loose and some stations in the cluster are completely decimated and picked apart while others are barely touched. It's favoritism on the part of the management.

Yes, of course it is. Some stations are successful, some are not. Each is a cost/profit center that has to stand on its own (or that's usually the way it works). Would you rather that an unsuccessful station be left intact and a successful station cut back? Use your head!

Use your head and read the whole post - was referring to INDIVIDUAL favoritism by managers to certain employees and not favoritism to one particular station or another

Now, thanks to Clear Channel, we have no station left that plays Tony Bennet's "I Left My Heart In San Francisco."

Well, almost. While it's in Sonoma County, KJZY 93.7 (Comcast carries it in the Bay Area and, of course, it's online) plays Bennett, Sinatra and others of the genre mixed in with a bit of jazz and some (mostly) tasty AC. It's an interesting mix that does pretty well in the 35+ demo.

I have ADD and a set of markers!

But that's not what you said. You said stations. I even quoted you.

Hey, if managers play favorites it just may be because management finds some employees more desirable than others. Some are team players and some are assholes, the latter is especially true in occupations where ego is a major overriding factor. Who can blame a manager for wanting to go with the people they perceive to be the best?
