I just purchased a CCRadioSW and am pleased with the performance. The sensitivity and selectivity are excellent. FM can be tuned in 10,000 Hz steps which makes it possible to slightly offtune the radio when listening to a first adjacent to increase the distance from the local. This may sound petty, but I am concerned that the digital readout display is not precisely calibrated to the signal. The readout display is 30,000 Hz off, i.e. ideal reception of a station on 103.9 is achieved when the readout displays 103.86. This "error" is linear across the band. When I contacted CCrane, they said it is adventagious to be able to tune in 10,000 Hz increments to get ideal reception and radios that tune in 100,000 or 200,000 Hz increments may not be able to achieve perfect tuning. Are stations typically tuned to the exact frequency, or could they be off by 30,000 Hz or so? I realize this is a minor problem, but nevertheless annoying. Is there any way a user can calibrate the readout to the ideal signal? Thanks.
