Sources tell me that Julie Jacobs will be on WKMX tomorrow morning with former night jock "Billy." They will be the new morning show and Stephano has left the Tragical Circus for the comfort of nights at WOOF.

....not one person has ever left us to go across the street to a competitor. Wow, sfla boy. I bet Stephano is glad that ChapterBlueMagic doesn't have non-competes. He sure sounded good on the air as he was welcomed by the entire WOOF FM airstaff today. I guess the Richard Rheinhardt sudden departure was not technically across the street when he walked out, just downstairs in the same building.

when I said no one ever went across the street, I didn't mean to imply that we didn't have a shake out period where we found out who could handle the bar being raised and who couldn't. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see a couple more gone at the Magic cluster before we have it in competitive form. I'm sure not losing any sleep over the recent changes. Stephano is in a better place for him, and Julie and Billy were in the planning stages before we arrived. That show will be very successful in AMD. Works for everyone. Same for Richard. Who can fault anyone for a TV job at the dominant station in the market. We would never stand in anyones way that had an opportunity for a significant upgrade. God, you people would find boogie men in heaven!

"Significant upgrade" You are exactly right in both cases Stephano did well by moving away. Richard good move he finally saw the light. Julie I wish her the best but don't know what she was thinking she knows better maybe one day she will see the light again too. It's obvious by Stephano's move from Mornings isn't everything especially working for a company like Trajic. Smart move to a Power House like WOOF.

Ahhh, things begin to warm on the AL Board with Dothan. Time for market 190 to entertain everyone else. More mkt 190 news this morning, did anyone/everyone see the ad in the paper from TRP concerning the "signal upgrades" happening on 93.7 and the needed "lowering of power"? Well, it is happening right now. Questions about it: 1) are they putting the new ant on the broken down tower in E. Geneva Co or moving to their own tower in Beth FL 2) AP is out again, sick or vacating while the power is down?
BTW, raw as he is, Steph is talented and is in a company that can and will nurture/develop the talent because they have the pros that can and will help if asked and he is smart enough to ask and to learn. IMHO, his delivery/persona is perfect for the WOOF audience. Yesterday, a friend told me Steph reminded him of a young Rick Patrick (no offense Rick but you and I aren't spring chicks anymore, we are well seasoned)......very high praise.

Yes its Squirrel, I cant comment on the new mgt of Magic, but I do wish StephanO all the best of luck at woof, he is one of the good guys with a heart to match, I am so glad to see him some place where he just might stay for a long time and not have fear of losing his job now, Stewy is right, he will grow beyond his dreams with the talent at woof,...if I can steal him, I will !!! Oh yea things are going good for me in Louisiana, Great food and Mardi Gras, what else does one need? Oh yea Houston...April is doing just fine ..lol.

I would just like to take a moment to say thanks for the ESPN!!!!! I was a loyal listener to the 4 Letter network the first time out. Mike & Mike can take a walk, but Cowherd, and the rest of the group are must listening to in my truck.
My only question is, how much time is taken to find all the 3:50 songs that replace the local commercials?
Oh, and best of luck to Stephano. Not a lot of head banging music on WOOF, (well, now that I think of it, they have had more of an edge on some songs lately) But I'm sure you can adapt nicely!

I heard carrier yesterday with very very little audio. This did not sound like a reduced power thing, but an STL or audio problem. Maybe they are going to do something different than the T1 link.

He’s a great guy who’s somewhere he’ll be appreciated and allowed to shine. No comment about magic from me either, btw. Saving it for the book..deposition.. investigators… whatever.
