They're horribly understaffed in sports, and they hire a man who was a sports anchor for 14 years in this market to do morning news. The whole problem with Chambo at 3 was how uncomfortable he looked doing news.
As for the comment of a threat to Kent Dana, I would remind the board that 5 paid an outrageous sum of money for Dana, which is not something Meredith does for anyone, and their ratings have improved. Chambo a threat? Even 5 isn't that stupid.
The good news is that 5's practice of hiring retreads means Heidi Fogelsong has a new place to try her "I'll be here long term" speech when she gets tired of KTAR in about five weeks.
