If CC flips 93.3 my guess would be:
/snip/
or do a Rock format to rival KISS (not really likely)

They could call it "93-3TheSurge!"

Or they could call it:
Exitos 93.3 (Regional Mexican)
AM 1200 WOAI and 93.3 (WOAI simulcast)
Sunny 93.3 (For the Hot AC format)

CC has 93.3 coming online very soon.

Right, forgot about that one. 93.3 is still La Nueva Radio Cristiana (Spanish Christian Tejano). I guess CC'll leave them to broadcast maybe right up until the move, otherwise it could take a while.

93.3 transmitter is being moved into downtown with increased power to 250 watts.

See map-
http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=K227BH&service=FX&status=C&hours=U

The new site will cover all of downtown. It would be nice if CC brought Evolution to SA but as for now we have KTFM and now The Beat supporting EDM. Mix and Wild are to conservative but I believe that due to OM/PD Chase Murphy most recent experience is from Greenville,SC...yawn. :-\

In rotation on KTFM-

Benny Benassi- Cinema

Avicii vs Nicky Romero - I Could Be The One
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bek1y2uiQGA

Krewella- Alive
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-gYJBsln-w

Zedd - Clarity
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxxstCcJlsc

Icona Pop - I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxxajLWwzqY

Afrojack feat. Chris Brown - As Your Friend
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Jy5n6fXUGE

And others...

no, it's still I Heart Austin and this morning was still running lines talking about artists you'll see at the festival, which incidentally is over.

Really? Wow. Someone is getting lazy in Austin at CC as well, then.

Just like they are at WiLD 92.5 and 105.7. Their Facebook / Twitter still says 92.5!

They're probably not all that lazy, more likely they just don't have enough personnel to keep up with the changes. It's hard for 5 people to do the job of 10 no matter how much you like technology

Thought it was just flipping a piece of equipment to broadcast another playlist. Surely they've saved all of Jammin's music and stuff if they've planned on returning it.

It's looking more and more like they're sticking with iHeartAustin. They're still on the air and are now running liners that aren't SXSW-related. Sux. I liked Jammin'.

Try calling up one of the broke stations and asking them to flip to Oldies, you know one of the translators that probably will flip soon or something.

And I like new music, is 103.1 still all new music?

austin radio is getting younger and younger. after several radio stations died off in this town, i've found myself going back to my cassetee tapes, cd;s, ipod's. internet radio and out of town radio stations we need 1 oldies 1 classic rock 1 classic country station. austin radio good stations never seem to last, what a shame austin is suppose to be a music city.

If you have now 3 radio stations catering to the 'live music' crowd in KGSR, KUTX and now 103.1 how can you say Austin live music culture isn't being represented?

I would also bet that other than KLBJ AM, KUT, KUTX and KNCT - no other radio station even considers the 55+ audience. A mistake? Yes in my opionion, but that's life.
