Change is Coming to Conservative Talk Radio

I forgot were the post was but someone posted that Hanity & Rush took it easy on Romney because of his ties with Bain which still has a great deal of influence with CC.  I hope that is not true.

It probably had more to do with the fact that Romney was the Republican candidate, whether hard-core conservatives liked it or not.  The priority with Hannity, and especially Limbaugh, is to make sure that the Republican wins.

IMHO, Hannity was more kind to Romney during the primary process but still distanced himself and Limbaugh was mostly short of hostile.  Not as bad as he was with McCain, but there was a lot of talking up of Santorum and Gingrich and talking down about Romney.  It wasn't until Romney was the nominee that the talk softened.  And then the chatter was more he wasn't being aggressive enough or conservative sounding enough.

It was sort of weird hearing Romney wasn't good enough in 12, but met the 3 legs of the stool of conservatism so well in 08. Audio whiplash, although most of the audience soon forgets.

If I recall, Hannity would spar with Ann Coulter over Romney early on.

I lost all respect for Hannity now for letting Ann Coulter on his show.

She's been a semi-regular guest on his show for years. When she's on, Hannity almost makes sense by comparison. ;D

Sad but true.
