On a promo @ WNOX I heard they are getting a new morning show host? Did Frank Murphy leave the station? Also noticed that the music has softened just a bit, not as much classic rock but added some softer tunes in the mix.
It's really frustrating that nobody has any idea how to program a good "oldies" format in this town. It's ripe for one.
That ship has sailed. The demos are too old.
Tell ya what. Turn me loose with 1 signal. AM, FM, Translator, two cans and a greased string and let me put a format on that isn't being done well or at all in the market and you pay me $10,000 for each point 12+ in the first 2 books. Other than the utilities on the transmitter there would be no overhead.
The programming is free. The revenue is free. What do you have to lose?
