I heard today that Kevin Rogers and the Dos Amigos are gone. I checked the 790 website and their pictures are no longer up. Does anyone know what happened? I enjoyed listening to K-Rog.

They were brave or smart enough to put an end to that joke of an experiment, los dos tontos, but can't afford to keep a good and quality radio voice like Kevin Rogers. That's why 790 does not get enough respect, but it is seen as a frat house rather than a radio station. Only LeBeturd or perhaps Rosenshitz can beat that boring old fruit who long ago spoiled and went stale. I wonder if Jorge and his magically dull solo shows - particularly the ones with that oh-so-less than mediocre corpse Suds - has ever beaten Sedano. It's a sad commentary when a show done part-time by a senior citizen in Canada - who on a daily basis recycles everything he ever has done - beats anyone, ever. I guess people are simpletons who prefer listening to someone drone endlessly on over a meaningless poll or to hear sad, lonely losers call a show to make some unintelligable sound only to be hung up on.

Wonder how much longer L-F will continue to pump money into a ship that is sinking - low ratings and even lower ad revenue. Look for them to do more syndication during the mid-days to save money.
CC did Fox Sports radio a couple of years ago. That experiment failed in the ratings. It would be stupid for them to do it again, trying to carve a very small piece of the sports radio pie. CC has no clue whatsoever on what to do with 940.otherradioboy said:I understand that 940 is picking up Fox Sports and dumping "progressive" talk and Ari America. That will definitely put the infla nail in 790's coffin.

In the last 3 books, QAM beat WAXY in Mornings and MidDays, WAXY won in Afternoons with LeBatard. This most recent Fall book, the differences were bigger across the board. To me, it seems like WAXY is betting on the 18-34 audience, QAM on the 35-54 side. Based on the commercials I hear on both stations, it's obvious that QAM is the much stronger sales station though one could say the programming is pretty equal. Heard from someone in the LF building that WAXY is selling spots real cheap. Can't imagine that formula will be successful short or long term. As for 940, those CC people are clueless - a 24 hour FSR station is not a good idea
