Changes at Red Eye Radio

No it is not you. I also noticed the same thing. There are a lot more ads on RER especially for trucker services and although truckers may be interested in it, I am not interested in a national weather forecast at 2am. The new guys don't do it for me. I go to bed with Batchelor and when I wake up I used to change to McIntyre. Now I just leave it on John and Jeff and hope I fall back to sleep quick.

Marc Germain told me two weeks ago that he had no idea whether he would still be doing RER on weekends or as a weekday fill-in. Since RKO doesn't carry RER on Saturdays I don't know if he was on. I went to KABC online but they were running infomercials.

Well, I'd linked to a thread elsewhere on radio-info where someone did the link to the "clock" of the show.
34 whole minutes of program content! As one person joked, that's only 17 minutes per co-host to speak.
But that doesn't even factor in the time callers use :)

The influx in trucking advertisements on "Red Eye" might be related to the "Midnight Trucking Network" that I believe also airs at the same time along the Cumulus network...

That in and of itself sounds dirty. :-X

I thought the "Midnight Trucking Network" was merged with "Red Eye" and all affiliates now run "Red Eye" with the hosts of the former "Midnight Trucking Network"? Locally, WCRN-AM in Worcester now carries "Red Eye".

Right, which is where the national forecast segment comes from.

I've tried to give them a chance, but they aren't helping. Last night they had some gomer on for multiple segments as a "guest" to pimp the brand of truck lube that he sells. Pathetic. They've ruined the show.

they did, they rurined the whole show.

You know who sounds great, she's on at the same time.

"Kate Delaney"
"America Tonight. Her clock is simular to the recent "Red Eye Radio"
If you never heard of her, she used to, back around 2002-2009 She was on "Fox Sports Radio" mostly working Weekend Late Nights/Weekday and Weekend Overnights. She sounded ok. Not bad.

John and Jeff still do an overnight radio show - albeit on the Internet...

And over-the-air: They’re on WTKK.
