One thing I've never seen is a comparison of T&R's ratings in the same time slot at WBCN vs. 98.5. I never heard of them before they went on 98.5. And they were never mentioned as competitors of D&C. I read that they started out in afternoon drive but ended up 6-10AM. Were their ratings higher or lower on WBCN? If they're significantly higher now, what is the reason?
One female I would really like to see brought in (if she could be peeled away from the Yankees)...is Suzyn Waldman. I've always liked and respected her work.

No joke. I actually DO like and respect Suzyn Waldman's work...yes...even her work for the Yankees. What you have to remember is that entertaining sports broadcasting always contains a certain amount of cheezy theatrics.....and she does that part of the job better than most!
In fact....I have always wished she could be part of the Red Sox broadcasts.

I'm pretty sure that she's a Massachusetts native and she is very good. Unfortunately she is too closely associated with the Yankees to be accepted as a Sox broadcaster. There are just too many sound bites with her pledging her allegiance to the Yankees out there. She also has to be getting along in age.

You respect her crying at a Joe Torre press conference? Or freaking out on a live broadcast like a teenage girl over "Rawgah Clemons is in Gawge's box! Oh my goodness gracious!" There's is nothing professional NOR entertaining about that or her.

He's good on the Big Show. This thing he was doing on Saturday was very strange. I only listened for less than an hour, maybe it got better as he went along. He was rambling on and on about himself and his career. He took a call even though he said he didn't want to take calls, and then said that this was the Sauce-man show not the Joe from Wherever show and cut the guy off. Then he said something about a trivia contest. I don't know how you do that these days unless you only give the person 3 seconds to answer. I didn't hang around for that. It was just very strange, though the guy is likeable and funny.raccoonradio said:
