I know this. When a station changes it format you always have a group of people who are disgruntled. You also have a new group of people who are ecstatic. If the format shift is drastic, easy listening to hard rock, the size of the aforementioned groups are larger. With Alice & Q there was a shift, but not a drastic shift.
Based on the number of positive emails I've recieved, and the relative few I've seen that didn't like the change, I think the station has made a move in the right direction. Even at your best at any station you always find someone who is discontented. Overall the disgruntled few are like a sparrow fart in a hurricane, too small to notice or cause worry.
