Rhythmic-Dance-Pop acts like Flo Rida, Akon, Gaga, and Rihanna are. The move makes sense in the PPM world. It also strengthens their position within the younger demo while Kiss can lean a bit older. And it's an offensive move to a possible CBS CHR shake-up in Boston.

Then Jam'n may very well go back to their early sound, when they spun the likes of La Bouche, Stevie B. , Fun Factory, Culture Beat, Alisha, The Bucketheads, Corona, Real McCoy, Outhere Brothers, and Real To Reel.

'93-'94 they were like they are now...Urban-ish..spun Wu-Tang Clan, SWV, and Warren G at the time. '95-'96 they started spinning the aforementioned acts like radiorama said...I LOVED Jam'n at this point! Then in '97 when P. Diddy & Mase were all over the charts it was back to Urban. They could be great going back to their true rhythmic roots!

Lady Gaga- Just Dance
Black Eyed Peas- Boom Boom Pow
i wouldnt say that either of these are hip hop or Rnb as their slogan says.

I'd rather they go back to their rock roots.
