Changes to KRLA's The Morning Answer?

In March of 2012, Heidi Harris joined KRLA/KTIE for mornings. In March of 2013, she left. Program director Chuck Tyler refused to renew her contract. Brian Whitman and Ben Shapiro are supposedly going to be joined by another female co-host but Salem Communications has not made any official announcement. Do they have to hire another woman? Couldn't Brian just do his impersonations instead?

Yes, Brian has a good radio voice. I agree. Could be a really good solo mornings if he could establish a true "voice" and theme to his thoughts that would interest people.

On the other hand, the juvenile Ben "Smartest Guy in the Room" Shapiro does not have a decent radio voice plus he has nothing to say other than "dude" and his odd political views - disjointed, inconsistent, strangely expressed in a super fast pace. He must have taken the Heidi Harris fast-talking course which she will not doubt start up again now that she is off KRLA's air. Sorry to see her go.

Would not be sorry to see Ben go. As for Brian - I have been listening for just the last week or two and I know that he is overweight, likes fast food and pizza, is 40 years of age, lives in an apartment but really likes Ben's house, and (sadly) lost his mom to whom he was close. Why do I want to know all this info as I make my way to the office? I don't.

Brian is overweight, likes fast food and pizza, and lives in an apartment? He would have fit right in on the old KLSX "Conway & Steckler" show! :D

Replacing Heidi Harris on the KRLA morning show is Elisha Krauss, who began in radio as an 18-year-old intern at WABC and worked her way up to executive producer of "The Sean Hannity Show."
