Charlie Tuna Leaves KRTH

My apologies if the email comment was inaccurate. Since California labor law requires the employer to issue a final paycheck immediately upon termination, the implication was that Charlie was not in the building at the time he received the news of his dismissal. Whether it was an email, phone call or delivered by carrier pigeon, anything less than a face to face meeting with the person responsible for the actual termination, in my opinion is unacceptable and a poor way to treat an employee of charlies stature.
Pretty sure when under a personal services contract or Union contract, California State labor law does not apply?

Good point, Scott. There are probably provisions for termination in the SAG-AFTRA agreement with CBS which may override state law. If so, one would probably have to sue the union to get those provisions overturned, which I doubt anyone who's been shown the door by CBS would do ... would you want to be the member bringing that lawsuit against your own union? And even if one did, it wouldn't change the final outcome: Still fired, severance check long since received anyway, and "on the beach".

I suggest to "krth101" that he is complaining about behavior on CBS' part which also does not change the final outcome, and his arguments are starting to become circular.

Looks like Greg Simms replaced Shotgun for now And Larry Morgan is doing nights according to the KEARTH website listed under shows, this is in addition to their duties as program director and assistant program director.

And Skywalker took Greg Simms Saturday mid-day shift. So it looks like the weekenders got better shifts. Looks like Maggie Mckay got the Sunday mid-day shift. Not sure if she got Saturday Mornings but it would make sense. Now i have to wonder is Greg Simms still going to do Saturday Afternoon 3 to 7. It used to list him 11 AM and Saturday 3PM. Shift wise. But now he is listed weekdays only. So maybe they hired more weekenders and didn't say anything or they are still in hiring process for the weekdays shift that are vacant from Shotgun and Christine. But listed Greg and Larry for now?

Isn't Greg Simms the MD, not PD? I had asked about the amazing APD Larry Morgan doing a full time slot, no one replied but at least we now know, for now!

And none of it really matters to those who believe KRTH isn't KRTH without the departed personalities.
