Charter may have a poor service but I can take them over AT&T Internet any day. AT&T had the sorriest service of any Internet provider I've ever been on. Their connections would drop often and my phone lines would have the occasional static in them, which would slow down my connection big time. Hence the reason why I left them.

I don't know I consider both of AT&T and Charter equally horrible but for different reasons. In your case, I blame the Alabama Public Service Commission not doing their jobs of protecting Alabamians from piss poor service.
