Christmas In Boston

The other one I could take or leave is "Dominc the Italian Christmas Donkey". That one gets alot of airplay on the Soft AC station here in Hartford. And last year I actually heard it in Italian on the Italian Melodies Show on the above mentioned AMer.

Yeah, what's up with that? The song had to have been recorded in the early 60s, but I don't EVER recall hearing it until a couple years ago. What's a donkey got to do with Christmas?

:p

"What's a donkey have to do with Christmas?"

I'm certainly not a biblical scholar, but aren't there references to (a pregnant) Mary riding towards Bethlehem on the back of a donkey? I know this has been mentioned in several Christmas songs...including "The Friendly Beasts!"

But I don't recall seeing a name tag around the donkey's neck...or a tatoo on his (pardon me) ASS with the name "Dominic?" The composer definitely exercised a little artistic license when it came to 'baptizing the burro!' ;D

Something tells me that WSRS may very well go all-Christmas on November 1st, or sometime the first week. I heard a promo today saying that the holiday season is right around the corner, and Halloween doesn't seem so scary anymore. So, be prepared.
