Christmas is back

I've always thought it was more about getting on every retailers radio so people were forced to listen to you..

I can't think of the last time I heard a business playing the radio for customers. Sometimes I hear it coming from the kitchen.

Frank and Angies in Downtown Austin plays the XM Bridge channel.

At the leasing office in my complex, they have it on Jammin 1031, or Majic 95.5

At my Dentist they have it on 102.7 Jack FM during the holidays because Q-1019 plays Christmas music and the staff gets tired of repetition.

I hear it pretty often around here, but it's usually at fast food restaurants, hair salons and other small businesses as opposed to major big box retailers. If you're big enough to have to pay the licensing fees, you're probably not going to want to deal with all of that yourself and are probably big enough to pay Muzak to do that for you.

Last time I remember hearing a major retailer playing the all-Christmas station was '99 when I lived in KC. Best Buy was playing the now former Star 102, which had signed on the previous January and was the first station in KC to do all-Christmas.

Just stopping by and letting you know that I'm running a Christmas station.
Basically just a huge variety of random Christmas music, from Country to Rock to Christmas Classics to AC stuff, to listen search the TuneIn directory for "KevanGC" without the quotes. If the thing won't play for some reason, I can give you a streaming link. Just PM me.

One more thing - this thing is also being broadcast on a low-powered FM signal at 107.9 FM on the NW side of San Antonio near the Babcock / Huebner area. Not too powerful though, but you can see if you can pick it up if you're near the area.

I'll try keeping this up until Christmas but I won't make any promises.

Merry Christmas!
