Christmas Music?

"Is Channel 5 still using their Christmas image commercial from decades past? Spot contains cartoon character kids walking past toy store, and maybe a bakery, before climbing a snow covered hill to view a star? Music bed sounds like chimes or a popsicle truck."

Charles DePriest was the guy behind the NewsChannel5 hand-drawn cell animation...the song he used was from a German music box...will get back with you on the title of the tune.

Of course, that spot will never end. It's too cute! I like it, and I recall it on when I was a kid in the 70's!

the animation used on the NEWSCHANNEL 5 animation created by Charles DePriest in 1974 is
"Gott ist die Liebe" ("God Is Love") written by German composer August Rische (1819-1906)
& can be found in many German hymnbooks.

My 105-3 in Glasgow/BG is North Pole Radio till the 26th...You oughta be able ot get it north of Nashvegas...if you're far north enough, check out our HD as well!

"Our HD?"

(cough * cheapplug * cough) ;D

btw Can anyone read my signature? :D

It's good to see WOVO's hd back on. Last year I listened to the Christmas music quite a bit. Tried a couple times this season and saw HD as their ID in the RDS but no HD transmitted.
Last week I called the Bowling Green studio and they had no idea what I was talking about. Tried Glasgow and the woman that answered didn't have a clue either. Did say someone was working on the station the other day.
Anyway if you can receive it WOVO, otherwise known as HD, has some great Christmas music.

I do!...but, then...i still hear Johnny Berry...yelling @ me (%*^#%#*&%) for playing JIMI HENDRIX in morning drive time!
hehehehe ;) ahhhhhhh... good WOVO memories!

Ok, Christmas is over for another year. Gosh darn it, time to put those Christmas gems back on those shelves. Golly, what will we do? We will have to wait until October 1st before 92.9 brings back those touching Amy Grant Christmas classics. Oh well::sigh::: ;)

Actually, as mentioned in another thread, Mix is still playing a Christmas song here and there. They played Amy Grant's "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" just yesterday.
