Christmas On WROR

Slip_Cue said:
On a personal note, I admire the fact that WROR is actually using the word “Christmas”. For that reason alone, I may listen to my Christmas music exclusively on WROR.

That would be enough to give them the nod in my book - when I finally get into the Yuletide mood. ;)

Perhaps the word: CHRISTMAS will get around to other radio stations? Especially those who are obsessed with the words: santa songs and holiday hits? ::)

A hello! WODS HAS been using Christmas:

"Oldies 103.3 ... Christmas Oldies and Holiday Favorites!"

"Oldies 103.3 .... Boston's Official Christmas Music Station!"

We have been using both of those slug lines, for the past 5 years.

we were driving to the supermarket last night so I asked the husband if he's heard WODS ...I tuned in and
The Supremes were singing a lovely Christmas Carol...his response "Turn it off". His tone said "immediately."

There's a comment, unsolicited. I was more than happy to oblige.

It's still too damn early!

In the retailers' rush to sell-sell-sell, the official start of "the season" has been pushed back to Halloween. But, that has also caused stress and resentment. There's a reason that our parents' generation used the day after Thanksgiving to kick off the season. Now, people are just being greedy.

By December 1st, people are more receptive to Yuletide songs.
