Are there any radio stations out there that still play "Sled Zeppelin" by Bob Rivers? (It's a Christmas themed parody of D'yer Mak'er).
Is WMJX skewing to more traditional songs this year ?
Sounded to me like that other than a Boyz II Men song.
On the other hand, 99% or more of the folks out there want very traditional "heritage" Christmas music that is linked to past years, family, friends and life.I don't play WMJX's Christmas music. They play the same 200-300 chestnuts every year. I want variety, and I get it from the internet.
Heck, some people still but Charlie Brown type Christmas trees too!šOn the other hand, 99% or more of the folks out there want very traditional "heritage" Christmas music that is linked to past years, family, friends and life.
Just as few people buy purple and yellow and orange Christmas trees, few want new and different Christmas songs. The whole season is based on traditions (and presents, of course).
I'm really hoping you have no problem with this. Hallmark is still showing Christmas movies on its two TV channels, because, you see, Christmas has just begun. The "twelve days of Christmas" are actually the days between Christmas and 06 January, known as the Feast of The Epiphany. Now, I don't expect either 105.1 or Hallmark to go THAT far, there should really be no problem with going till 01 January.Out of market 105.1 is still playing Christmas music.
