My understanding is that his organization was pretty much broke and his show was canceled about three years ago.
(I think it was down to shortwave and a handful of stations anyhow).
A far cry from the 90's when he rivaled Rush Limbaugh for station count, and had a very loyal following,
particularly in small, rural communities.
I think his story would make good material for a movie. Lots of weird stuff in there.
Like the rumors that he actually died in 2004 and a Chuck Harder impersonator carried on
with his radio show for a few more years.
It would probably turn out to be a bit like Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, that George Clooney flick
based on Chuck Barris' claim that he was a contract hit man for the CIA.
