Chuck Taylor out at YJB? Bridge flip to Rock 100?

I was out during the launch of Rock 100.9, but I did catch the last song on The Bridge ("Under the Bridge" by Red Hot Chili Peppers also the first under the Bridge format)... followed by the voice announcing a few calls to call old Bridge artists out and invite Rock artists in... Then it launched with "Rock 100.9: Everything That Rocks" followed by "Wicked Garden" by Stone Temple Pilots :)

Might B95 trying to tweak towards Hot AC too? I've even heard Christina Aguilera's "What a Girl Wants" on there before, also some Taylor Dayne, not exactly AC material ;)
 
Laura is there still..Joe Condon will be filling in until they find someone new....

Albany still needs a good Adult CHR, no WRVE does not count ;) B95 shouldn't go Adult CHR though (remember that they are co-owned with WFLY), what about WKKF going Adult CHR?

Is Delilah remaining on the station, btw? if B95 were to drop Delilah, either River or Star would grab her up in a heartbeat though :)

radiochick: Surprised that Jason Keller didn't want in... is he done with radio since the demise of WHRL?
 
So they fire somebody who is great,and keep a person who has no business being in radio.Is there anybody more annoying than Laura is? I don't think so
 
I always found Laura to be very negative and always had a need to be correct, probably made for a very interesting work environment not a good way to be... i hope shes off the air or moved she "train" wrecked that morning show. I have been listening to Chuck for years through all the changes back to the Diane days and I wish him well if he is indeed gone. They made a big mistake and barely gave the new "team" a shot.

She is so annoying, can't listen to her. It's worse than finger nails on a caulk board.

She is the reason they got rid of the veteran of capital district radio Ric Mitchell. She didn't help the ratings at all, plus she was cutting up Ric to management. Pure sign of Incompetence.

Get rid of LD to save B95!

Have a question, is Mike the Enforcer the traffic reporter Mike Spain on with Jay & Ben Magic 590?
 
Chuck Taylor was fired from his FULLTIME position but GM Chuck was kind enough to offer to let him stay with the company on a part-time basis.

To me that is a MASSIVE slap in the face...but that is just one person's thought.


And yes Mike Spain the traffic guy with Jay & Ben in the mornings is the same as Mike the Enforcer.
 
Gotcha. Yeah, that's a slap in the face. I would be gone if it were me. No talk of Ric Mitchell's return? Much prefer his return....Are they considering Joe Condon...?
 
If they're going to tweak to a Hot AC or at least a Fresh AC, best time would be after Christmas, IMO ;)

Get rid of Delilah too, it doesn't fit the rest of the station... and who would replace Chuck Taylor?
 
I'm waiting for the end of the stunt of 1009 in a row to see if they play a great playlist or the same old 30 songs...Thus far, I like it! Hey Mark, how about Crush's decline in ratings???

How's this, this station reminds me of convergence of WRXP NY (Rock 100.9 vs Rock 101.9) and WMMR Philly ("Everything that Rocks") ;)

Too early for a real one yet...
 
I'm personally happy to see another rock station in the Albany area, I was disappointed when Channel 103.1 & 104.9 The New Edge both abandoned the rock format last year. However, history shows that rock stations don't have a great history here in the Capital region. Both Pyx & 103.9 have been around for a long time but there have been many, many others that have failed over the years.
