I agree with 'abcdj'. The Cincy guy seems to have a great rep and if they think he's best for the job (no disrespect to Jay), he does deserve the shot.
BTW, you can always tell the "sour grapes crowd" when they're on a rant. The key phrases are: 'corporate run radio', 'corporate masters', 'the suits',
'the consultants', 'no idea what works in this market', stuff like that.
Those are among the dead giveaway phrases and really do instantly paint your crowd as the cynical, skeptical, couldn't-cut-it-so-I'm-pissed radio hacks.
It's so blatant it's not funny (and is really quite sad).
