Citadel is now Cumulus Media

just to clarify, I know the cumulus stations are live in the morning, didn't mean to say they weren't. I was simply saying that none of those shows have a morning team or promo'd as such. By morning team I mean the way the WMME, WMGX, WBLM, WTOS, WJBQ etc present their morning shows. With the Bangor cumulus stations it seems there is one main talent, not a team.

But take heart, me mateys, the best news of all: Once corporate America runs 'em dry, at least we'll all be able to buy our very own 50,000 watt stations on the cheap. :)

So, once you get your own "cheap" 50 kW, how do you propose to pay for the electricity that's now paid for by "corporate America?" Happy Saint Patrick's Day, laddie.

Sam's a little naive if he thinks getting rid of free parking at One City Center is going to appease the bean counters at Cumulus. And he should know better than to take a MAB shill at her word.

Yep, it's only a matter of what--months? Weeks? No need for 3 morning show hosts on ANY station. Or live mid-days. Or live evenings and overnights. Or 2 program directors for only 4 stations. Hate to say it, but it's a real milestone in Portland radio, and not a good one.

On the bright side, CYY is doing "CYY Madness" this weekend! Go Robin Go! You sell it, girl!

"Suzanne Goucher, president and CEO of the Maine Association of Broadcasters. "It's been very rare that we've seen a deal like this go down and have the new company come in and clean house."

Yeah, that hardly ever happens. ::)

True Grit....Funniest thing I have seen all week. But maybe she doesn't know all those people have been downsized. She still has dead people listed in the 2011 directory they just put out.

@MaineEngineer I don't know about you, but after 11 years in radio, I'm rich. I'll just use my pocket change to pay for the electric bill.
