I noticed the other day more older songs being played on Project. The mix listed looks odd.
Dave has been tweaking their playlisty the last couple weeks also. I have heard them mention it and have noticed it myself. The other morning the played Casey Jones fromthe dead inthe 7:00am hour.
Now that I think of it, they've always had some older cuts mixed in with their regular rotation. If I recall, I think Rodney reported that Chris and the GM said it was an attempt to smooth things over with the 96Rock die-hards, of course my words not theirs.
I noticed Dave playing some older cuts over the last few weeks. AAA's supposed to be like that, covering a very broad range. Besides, I liked hearing the Beatles' "Norwegan Wood" (sp?) the other day.
If classic rock where to return to Atlanta, would the same 50 classic rock songs be played over & over? Or the opening up of the classic rock libary that runs from the 1960s to 1990s ???
I figure that classic rock was a dying format.
Last 5-10 years: 96Rock-Atlanta,WDIZ/Rock100-Orlando,WSHE-Miami/Ft.Lauderdale,KLOL-Houston,KZPS-Dallas have all flipped formats.
KLOS-Los Angeles,(which is the granddaddy of AOR/Classic Rock) is barely hanging on in the ratings.
