To answer the question I asked.
It sounds like a good mix to me as I'm listening to Lionel Richie as I type this (I heard Gino Vanelli in the car about 10 minutes ago). The AM is running what's on the FM with a 40 second delay (as I type this 3:37 9/19/08). They identify themselves as WXXY(no FM or AM).
That said, it doesn't look good for this station.
WXXY-FM is 88.7 an FM radio station located in Port Republic, New Jersey.
98.7 is W254AT licenced in Smyrna with its stick just south of Woodside (south of Dover). I'm hoping this has become a full power station as I can't see it translating WXXY-AM 1600 AM in Dover in stereo HiFi AND 40 seconds in the future.
That's if the FCC has approved FM translators used with AM stations. If anyone has any info on this as well as translators getting their signals other than OTA I'd like to know.
Just a heads up to a good radio station. Enjoy it while it lasts. :-\
