Clayton Allen Going back to Corpus Christi

I personally don't think Big D and Bubba are strong enough to beat a live and local morning show no matter who they're up against. Bad choice. Hopefully that will change so KOUL will have shot at taking K99.

To you and others on here blasting Kent Cooper let me say this:

I first met Kent at Z-95 and found him to be likable and know his stuff. We used to talk about how radio should sound and i knew then (1985) he was going to be a great GM. Kent and I have had our little go rounds over the years but he is one professional hard working aggressive bulldog. Corpus Christi needs more Kent Coopers.
Personally i think one of the best radio battles in Corpus was K-99/KOUL circa (1992). Kent was GM, And they had one great morning show with Ward and Winthrow. I was PD/Mornings at KOUL then. It was a fierce battle and i guarantee you if Kent has enough time he WILL beat K-99. I've seen Clayton Allen's music hours on yes.com and he knows what South Texans want to hear in Country Music. Both station sound very good now but for now my money is on KOUL.
BTW..for those who have wondered...after 15 years in Dallas i am now doing Afternoons at www.1019TheWolf.com Sacramento, Ca
We have one hell of a battle going on here between The Wolf and KNCI. KNCI has been here for 17 years! Both stations sound Hot but the Wolf is new and we have alot of work to do. I'm happy to be in one hell of a great radio market!!!
