Clear Channel Bangor PD Leaving

Hey Hip Hop. Are you drunk?

Ray Ting told YOU that the departing CC guy did not make those comments. And then you reprimanded him by telling him that the departing CC guy did not make those comments.

Sober up. Then come back and make some sense.

Ease up, Bang Bang... I misunderstood. Ray ting's comments made it sound like the "departing CC Bangor guy" was in on this thread, which he was not. My apologies to all for evidently picking at an open sore...

Getting back on point, my original question is, why does (almost) everyone here seem to cop the "woe is me" attitude about their chosen field, rather than do something to improve their situation (like the departing CC Bangor guy did)? I guess it's easier to complain about the heat than to open a window, huh?

Whatever CreativeServicesGuy is saying, to me, it sounds like futility, and that's disappointing, because I'm sure he's not the only one in your business who feels that way... How are ANY of your stations going to be great if third is the best anyone thinks they can do?

By the way, a sales rep was in to see me a couple weeks ago, and from what it looks like, except for WKIT, it looks like WTOS is kicking all your asses in the ratings -- at least for the group she showed me... I know it was men, but I can't remember what age range... Maybe I was drunk.

"Whatever CreativeServicesGuy is saying, to me, it sounds like futility"

I never meant that 3rd was the best we could do, I was simply remarking that no matter what Q and WKIT did they would remain on top. It's hard to beat heritage. I am busting my butt to try to though...

And as for WTOS having these great numbers. I can show you where every station "won" in the book at something, they could have been showing you person's twelve plus ratings, and that's not a demo - it's a family reunion. Arbitron is and will always be ridiculous in my mind, however I think the PPM's are the way of the future and a brilliant idea.

Drunk...stoned...dazed...and confused.... The only place where TOS is number one in Bangor is for Men 18-24. And that's by a hair. Everywhere else they trail badly.
