Where did those listeners go? Hubbard's country station?
They were new in 1975 (I was there)...oops, that's 36 years ago. Never mind...stereolane said:jry said:I was shocked to see WLW and KRC's numbers in the latest PPM's.

I can barely hear WKRC due to the noise floor caused by Wi-Fi, CFL's, BPL, etc, and it seems to be getting worse. Knowing Clear Channel the way I do, the ground radials at the 'KRC transmitter site are probably rotting away.
Make no mistake...I hate the IBUZ & would like to see it evaporate. That said, my new car has HD Radio and WLW not only has some of the muddiest analog audio but also some of the best HD AM audio. HD AM tends to have a harsh/swishy upper midrange/high end but WLW has a lot less of that. And the signal appears to stay in HD all around the 275 loop. If they could get this sound through an AM radio without occupying several channels to accomplish it, I might actually become a fan of the stuff. That's about as likely as a sunny & 70 degree Indiana winter.microbob said:They are louder than WLW which is buried by IBUZ which they need to throw that equipment in the Ohio river![]()
Hint...... I would not be talking about numbersjry said:I was shocked to see WLW and KRC's numbers in the latest PPM's.

KRC may be the most distorted audio in America. And, I'm guessing, way illegal.

Don't you hate it when you "do the math" and you realize, damn, I'm old! Just remember, it's not age that makes you old, it's mileage!BobOnTheJob said:They were new in 1975 (I was there)...oops, that's 36 years ago.
