No matter what we may think of Main Line laying people off/firing them, at least they have taken the time to change the stale face of Dayton radio. CC/Dayton rested on its laurels long ago, and ML and their consultants knew this, hence Fly and Click. Everyone complains about ML giving us jukeboxes, but what about Mix? Besides the Morning Show and afternoons, the rest of the day they're voice tracked. Their midday personality is VT'd...out of San Diego, CA. Now THAT'S a great idea to give the station a "Local Flavor"! What about 94.5? They're all VT'd out of other markets as well. No live, local jocks or remotes, just a laptop on JS's desk. I say if you're not going to have a live, local jock hired on, then just go jockless. At least no one from Florida or California or New York is reading cue cards about a function in a market they've never stepped a foot in.
Click will do well. Anyone that thinks that they won't is either:
A. A CC/Dayton employee, or
B. In complete denial.
CC/Dayton, the market has changed. DEAL WITH IT, AND CHANGE WITH THE TIMES!!!
