CLICK 101.5 IS ALIVE!

Atlantaboy,

You're correct. I was thinking AAA when we talk Black Keys and Florence & The Machine, but that could also be considered alternative I suppose.

I'm guessing they're throwing in Florence and the Machine and Black Keys for flavor...although I think BK fit this format better than F&TM. This station reminds me quite a bit of 97.1/WBNS-FM in Columbus when they first flipped from Oldies to Modern AC back in July '01 as "The New 97.1".
Also, I noticed that all the old Kiss Country spots seem to be history.

Yeah, Black Keys hit #1 on Alternative (and it's still in the Top 10 there) - and pretty sure Florence went Top 5

Click 98.9/Seattle definitely uses recurrents from the Alternative chart (mixed with the Hot AC chart) - they've got MGMT/Kids in power rotation, and I don't think that ever made an impact on AAA - same with KUCD/Honolulu, KQKQ/Omaha, and a handful of other stations experimenting with this format - a couple of them are even playing Rise Against and Cage The Elephant mixed in with Hot AC

Click has Cage The Elephant in power rotation...especially "Shake Me Down". "Ain't No Rest For The Wicked" gets some play, but not as much as "Shake Me Down".
I was surprised to hear "One Step Closer" by Papa Roach this morning. I would think that would be a tad hard for this type of format. "Scars" fits the format better...I heard it spin yesterday.
Also in heavy rotation on Click:
SICK PUPPIES "Maybe"
CHRISTINA PERRI "Jar Of Hearts"
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE "Sing"(First tune they played)
30 SECONDS TO MARS "The Kill(Bury Me)"
P!NK "Raise Your Glass"; "Perfect"
NEON TREES "Animal"
Also it looks like Coldplay and Nickelback have the most tunes each, at four apiece, in rotation. They are:
NICKELBACK "Too Bad"(Follow-up to "How You Remind Me", last heard in Dayton on Z-93 in Spring '02), "Rockstar", "Savin' Me", and "Far Away".
COLDPLAY: "Speed of Sound", "Viva La Vida", "Yellow", and "Trouble".
