CNN in :60

Has anyone heard this feature? If so, what are your opinions?

One of my local stations (a sports-talk station) has been using this for a few weeks in morning drive (previously no national news at all). Personally, I can't see this being used on an all-news or news/talk station, but for other formats I think it may work. Thoughts?

NBC News/MSNBC has been doing something similar, broadcasting hourly one-minute newscasts. They are (IIRC) distributed by Westwood One.

Here in Boston, the NBC/MSNBC mini-newscasts are aired on a talk station, WTKK-96.9, usually after (during daytime hours) an hourly local newscast.

But I think both the NBC/MSNBC and CNN one-minute mini-newscasts would be better suited for music stations. They would allow music-formatted stations to broadcast hourly news throughout the broadcast day without taking up too much time.
