Veteran radio talk host in the Seattle market for at least ~18 years on several stations...Brian Jennings built 570 KVI / Seattle in the early '90's with Rush, Colmes, Farber, Siegel, Laura Lee, etc. Jennings and KVI ~ten year ago acheived 12+ ratings much higher than any of the Seattle-Tacoma market talk ratings currently released today (6/30/05) that appear on radio and records on-line...

Who says it's the end? He was only working a part-time schedule anyway. Now he's working even less of a part-time schedule. You know, he and his wife own a radio station and they like to travel (especially this time of year). I'm sure he's not cutting back on his on-air C2C schedule because he has no interest in it anymore. More than likely, he's cutting back his on-air C2C schedule due to other pursuits/interests at this time. I have a feeling that Art Bell will always be around. Like many of us here on this board, he loves radio too much to just walk away from it for good. It's in his blood--he has said that many times, and I believe him.

I have no doubt that Mike's a good guy. But he didn't fit at all with C2C and the type of show it is - Art was forced to come back to the air because of it, lest it ended up like "America at Night."
I remember reading about him getting the KVI gig some time back, and for that I wish him the best.

Last but not least, the comment about Art Bell comming back..The PD at KFI Los Angeles called him up and asked him if he would do a local weekend show, and he agreed to go back nationwide.. CC/Premier jumped at the opportunity and Robin Bertalucci (sp?) scored a coup as the new PD for KFI.

You know something? I don't listen to the "truckin' guys" that much at night. But I have to say, I do admire the concept behind that show! An overnight radio show for truckers! What a great idea that was/is! I mean, after all, nationwide, what other group of people (in really large numbers) are up all night and are out on the road with nothing to do and nobody else to talk to....but truckers??!! And it's a radio show that's geared (no pun intended) primarily, though not entirely, for truckers. And them truckin' hosts talk about everything that's going on in the world, not just regional weather reports and interstate road conditions. I'll tell ya, somebody deserves a big pat on the back for coming up with the idea for that radio show way back when!

Punnet does a good job on the weekends. I enjoy hearing him.
Noory is also good.
The show has developed into more than just a show about the paranormal. There's many general-interest topics covered as well.
I do miss the days when LARRY KING had his overnight show.
