Coast to Coast is a horrible show

I still don't buy it, WABC signal is much better and far reaching than that old fashioned cranky WOR.

That "old-fashined cranky WOR", as you put it, puts out a killer signal over the whole Philadelphia, New York and Boston corridor. I can finally hear the show reliably at my house on Eastern Long Island - where AM 77 is but a whisper.

Didn't WOR move and upgrade its tower site a few years ago? Here in Florida I can hear WOR reliably well at night.

Yes they did. The studios also moved a few years ago. So basically it's a new station from the ground up.

WOR still sounds very old fashioned unlike WCBS WABC WINS etc, and they do not reach 80-100 miles up NYC in the Catskill mountains where as WABC comes in crispy clear. Check the ratings for Newburgh-Middletown (Mid Hudson Valley), NY and Poughkeepsie, NY , WABC is on top in those upstate markets while WOR barely registers in the ratings, and that's not a content issue as much it is a SIGNEAL issue!!

Until recently, WABC had carried "C2C" until they decided that it didn't fit their quota of "all-Obama-bashing, all-the-time," so they created "Red Eye Radio" and WOR snatched up Noory soon thereafter.

It was simply another text-book Citadel programming brain fart, mandating "Red Eye Radio" on WABC and KABC. It's right up there with carrying the first half of C2C, then the second half of "Midnight Trucking Radio Network" on WLS/Chicago and WMAL/DC... now, how smart is THAT?

I don't feel that way about Coast to Coast. They are civil. They are sane.... most of the time.

Coast to Coast has on Alex Jones all the time. It's not sane. I only said it needed to be improved, because it's not a good show now.

My favorite C2C guest was Col. Johnson Jameson. ;)

Who of course never existed, but was simply a character in Phil Hendrie's dead-on Art Bell parodies.
