Oh and I do like to give credit where it is due. KTAR had a phenominal month...that is for sure...but It aint over until the fat lady (er the drug addled Viagra addict ) sings.

Paul Harvey's dad!

LOL

You owe me a keyboard

Send the bill to Buckeye....the Nurse and I are thinking of selling the Media Hut so KB Homes can build a new master planned community on it!

Another McBland barnburner coming up:

Talking weather with Ed, why is it cold?

(uh, Pat, because its Winter?) ::)

A few more topics for Ded and McBland:

How do you like your fruit cake?! :'(

The McBland group, featuring a full run-down of Wallace's Birthday, with special appearance by Mayor Phil "Flash" Gordon!

And BTW, with sports 620, will be still have the sports with McBland? Seems to be about 1/2 of his show now, almost daily.

Come on, lets give it a rest!!

We advised the CCU Suits to dump KISS, move MIX to 104.7 and give KFWhyE 96.9 long before News 92~3, where Hip Hop used to live, hit the air.
Why move Mix around? If that brand is strong, wouldn't it be smarter to leave it on the same frequency and just start fresh on 104.7? Also, is the AM v FM THAT big of a deal, or is the CONTENT going to be the deciding factor in this battle?

From our twisted point of view, Nurse Jeff and I feel there is more FM traffic between 91~5 and 99~nine than up towards 104~seven. TMISU really lucked out with 92~three, where Hip Hop used to live, as it's right next to KayJazz and a lot of sharing.

CONTENT can't be a deciding factor anymore as The Men In Secret Underwear have trivialized the AM band with Sports Parking Lot 6~twenty. A great signal with great coverage now becomes ESPN with local sports play by play. KFWhyEye has benefitted from being next to KT'R on AM, but after this Sunday that advantage goes poof. Put KFWhyEye at 96~nine and THEN content becomes the deciding difference.

The Nurse and I still can't figure out why TMISU want to dump 8~sixty as there will be local play by play overlaps that have to go somewhere. Hmmmmm...maybe those deep pockets are sniffing out a rimshot FM to combo with Sports Parking Lot 6~twenty? The only way we'll have that much money is to sell the Buckeye Media Hut to some greedy homebuilder.

Is it raining where you are?

Jeez, all of a suddent KTAR-FM makes a lot of sense to you?

Some sort of rapture or something?

And with digital radios, who really dials back and forth between stations anymore anyway? Most everyone presets their favorite stations and never vary.

Bonneville "Trivialized" the AM band? Bwah hah hah hah. What about 910, 960, 1060, 1100, 1190, 1360, 1140 and yes, your formerly beloved K-WTF 550?

All those stations drove away anyone with twenty or more working brain cells long ago.

Using your alleged logic, the 620 sports shows should now benefit greatly from people twisting the dial from El Oxycontin-bo up the dial, who overshoot Marana in their search for Danny Babich.

There's just something about secret underwear that turns us on!

Don't discount the importance of 92~three being next to 91~five. Ever hear of the scan button? Guess the smell of kerosene from the Navy tankers at Pt Hueneme must be gettin' the better of you. The air tastes better in Carpinteria, we're told.

9~ten was sacrificed when KFWhyEye moved to 5~fifty. 9~sixty, 10~sixty, 11~hundred, 11~ninety, and 13~sixty haven't been competitive in the past 30 years. 6~twenty was until they got competition. What's on 11~forty? Maybe you're thinking of KSL 12~sixty ;D

In what? A '76 Gremlin Levi's Special?

Dan Babich International is far more entertaining than Ron Wolfley. Sports Parking Lot 6~twenty hits El Lay at night...too bad you can't get the Mighty 5~eighty!

Now, you are just gonna get him mad and have him complain again to the moderator.

Have a good New Year, I'm on my way to be on a Mexican Radio this weekend, eating barbecued iguana.
