Colbie Caillat - Fallin' For You

Colbie's still at #2, You Belong With Be is still at #1. Will be interesting to see if this song hits #1 - even if it doesn't, I bet it will be getting heavy airplay next week along with the Buble one which is #3 I think. Not really any other decent "new" songs on the chart now that aren't Christmas.

I would look for those two to swap positions on the first chart of the new year. A new year almost always brings change at the top of the charts, and Taylor has been there for a while now.

I heard a Michael Buble song this morning. The DJ didn't say what it was but he listed the artists for the last three songs. It sounded like something from the 70s and more AC than anything else he's done. Mostly my station plays his old-sounding stuff--and by old I mean 40s-style.

Actually, that song fit right in with "Every Woman in the World", "I'll Have to Say I Love You in a Song", "I'm All Alone" and "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight".

But they also played "In the Misty Moonlight", "Tenderly", "Artificial Flowers" and "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes". Plus Frank Sinatra or someone that sounded like him singing with Barry Manilow and a woman. I was too late for Tony Bennett but he was mentioned, so he must have preceded Buble.

I hope so. No offense towards her, but I'd like to have a break from Taylor...a nice, long one. WSPA in Greenville, SC has given YBWM up to 8 spins a day sometimes. I'm sick of it.

I hope to God Party in the USA by Miley Cyus doesn't get on AC.

I liked the Colbie song when it first came out, but it really grates on me now. I didn't get sick of the Taylor Swift song anywhere near as quickly, and even now still enjoy it.

I loved the Taylor Swift song when it was new. Now I have heard it so many times that it's like wallpaper, It's just there in the background and I barley notice it. Still I don't think I will ever dislike it.

I like everything from Miley. I'm not burned on "The Climb". I love "Party In The USA", it's one of my favorite pop songs of 2009 but it belongs on CHR NOT AC! I even like her "Hoedown Throwdown" song from the Hannah Montana movie.

I had to point out - Christmas 2009 was one of the first in ages that a Christmas song didn't hit #1 on the AC chart.

Fallin' For You is still first for the 3rd week, now knowing AC it will probably stay there forever. The top 5 for AC is a pretty solid set of songs. Save for "Smile" and "Chances" (which has grown on me, but that song's not going any further probably), nothing outside of the top 10 doesn't do much for me.
