Columbia SC Gets A Second CHR - Q-94.3

^Yeah, definitely agree with that - it's like when stations go decades without competition, they can use the cheapest, laziest imaging possible and not have to worry about it

And BTW the jingles for WNOK and WNCI still sound like AC stations

atlantaboy, have you actually listened to WNCI lately?
They use Scott Matthews as one of their imaging voices. WKQI and WIOQ use him as well. Have you heard the production? Or are you going off of what you remember from 7 years ago?

They use the Reelworld jingles of KDWB. The same package that's on Z100, KIIS, and many others. Are those stations imaged lazy? Does Dave Foxx create lazy imaging?

Have you heard the music on WNCI? The new PD a year or two ago made some adjustments to the music, made the station more current.

They've been #1 for a very long time. And it's not by being lazy. It's by knowing who their audience is, what they want to hear, personalities that they know, recognize and connect with, and exciting promotions that keep people tuned in.

I was going off what I heard a year and a half ago (Fall of 2009) when I was out there - you're right though, I gotta try streaming them again if they've really changed since then

You gotta limit the opportunities for people to get bored and switch the station. No better way to do that than to play another great hit.
