Recently, two very long time non-air staff employees of the White River Broadcasting stations retired. One, a long time office manager retired at the first of the year, a dedicated hard working lady and possibly one of the longest tenure radio salespersons retired the first of this month, well into his forth decade of selling commercials. I'm sure there are a number of under-the-radar, hard working people in Indiana radio such as traffic, production directors, engineers, office managers, front desk staff, that never make this board, but have been in the trenches doing their jobs very well supporting management and the voices on-air.
The two who recently left White River saw hundreds of air staff and marketing people come and go during their time and could probably write a book about their adventures in Indiana radio. Fifty years of combined experience at one radio station group may not be rare, but is noteworthy.
This is a thanks to you under-the-radar Indiana radio family who make it all happen so the bosses can make money and the air staff can do their magic.
