I can tell you story after story about horrible Comcast service. Prior to Comcast, the cable company was ATT, TCI, Prime and not ONE TIME, did I have issues with cable. When Comcast took over it became an every other month thing.
One time Comcast went into my building and disconnected everyone. When I called, they said, "Too many people are stealing cable in your building, so we disconnected everyone, and when you call back we will know if your legit and can reconnect you."
WHAT??? I said, "You have my name, my account number, my flat number, and the cable lines are tagged." "Why are you disconnecting a paying customer, that you KNOW and can identify as such?"
Then it took four days to get reconnected. Comcast would make an appointment and never show up. When I asked about their guarantee on their website, they replied, "Sir that obviously doesn't apply too people who steal cable." When I pointed out I wasn't stealing, they said, "But people in your building are, so we aren't going to honor that guarantee, while people are stealing."
And I could go ON and ON about horrible Comcast service and disconnects.
The only thing Comcast is good for is their Internet deals. Every six months, I call AT&T, from which I have DSL, and I say "I'm going to cancel my AT&T DSL and go to Comcast, unless you can match Comcast's price." Then AT&T matches it
