Yeah, they are AC statons. As most Sunny FMs are.

Well, I'm talking about the Sunny in Philadelphia. They would be classified as Gold Adult Contemporary. That Sunny would sound somewhat different than Lite FM, but obviously CC wouldn't run it.

CBS Radio may decide to bring the updated oldies format to New York, just like KFRC.

That is the Sunny I was referring to, which is predominantly 25-49 in listenership. The industry term is "Gold Based AC" which means it is an AC that plays a higher amount of gold AC cuts than a Hot AC would. But the cutw are AC first and gold second. This is why nearly none of the audience is over 55.

I doubt it. They already learned what a downtrend revenues are on for this format. I do an Adult Hits format, and in sales have to be careful to never, ever use the "oldies" term, which almost guarantees getting kicked of the buy today.

WCBS-FM as an oldies outlet was in the top 10 in NYC and billed over 46 Million dollars in its last year as an oldies station. You think they're making more $$ as a JACK station, even without having to pay talent??

Keep dreaming. JACK is a JOKE, and so is 'Infinity' or 'CBS Radio' or whatever the hell they're calling themselves these days...

I ask you the same question. Your billing numbers are off by over $12 million... In fact, I think you are looking at the AM billing, not the FM, which was sucking big time.

They billed less that $34 million in ´04, down nearly $10 million from 5 years before, while the market was up about 20% over the last 6 years up to 2004. In other words, they were falling like a rock.

The 25-54 put in a nice increase in Fall. I think CBS knows this will talke time, and underestimated the negative publicity... but they had to do this anyway.

WCBS FM's billing dropped 20% since (I forget the year, David Eduardo knows) and the market rose 20% in billing, so technically, WCBS FM was off by about 40%. (These facts and numbers come from David Eduardo. Give him the credit. I'm pretty sure I got the right ones down.)

Thats your opinion, but Jack is beginning to see some improvements. CBS Radio had to do something with CBS FM. They were losing a lot of money.

It probably would have been smarter to flip Mix instead of Sunny. Just my opinion.

Went "Music Woman Love" (Basically Mainstream AC) in the fall of 03. Adjusted the name from "102-7 Blink" to "Blink FM" at that time. Went Christmas for winter 03 and after that it flipped to Mix (rhythmic heavy Hot AC) before evolving to what it is now.

I thought the latter days of "Blink FM" with the light AC sounded good...a lot of people at the time were even thinking that 102.7 would go back to that format after going all-Christmas. Interestingly enough, their ratings as "New York's Home for the Holidays" were about the same as their current numbers, 12+.
