It also sounds like these guys still have fun, rather than just doing breaks. I'm not a big fan of the 70's, but I really like the 60's & am in the generation that loves the 80's & 90's. I am just one year over JMTillery's listed median age for this market.
It's not over-the-top unintelligible like the guy at Sunny FM in Orlando. I'm all for the energy & being like what Top-40 used to sound like in the early 90's, but not too much on the caffeine. LOL.![]()
Well, one bad book might be a fluke. Gotta look at trends. That said, 92.9 may have a good library but they don't rotate through the less known songs very often. They do sound good at any one moment in time, but the cumulative effect of rotating the top songs so often is burnout. I talked to a fellow I know in Ocala who is in the 55 age range. He says that his wife strongly prefers the LPFM, WITG, because they play a wider variety. Maybe that's true, maybe not, but the rotation seems to re-inforce that perception. If 92.9 broadened out the rotation a bit more, they would avoid that listener fatigue and regain listeners that have jumped to stations like WNDD, WKTK and WITG.
