Coming This Fall on Local TV?

UPDATE: The Test will air at 1pm on 8.

I actually saw a commercial for "The Test" on FOX 8 earlier today, though no time slot was mentioned. It just said "Premiering This Fall."...

...So my guess is this:

Wendy Williams 11am
News 12pm
The Test 1pm
Steve Harvey 2pm
Judge Judy 3pm...

That went now from being a guess to a done deal.

Now on 43, with Anderson Cooper and Jeremy Kyle's programs bidding adieu to syndication, and with "The Test" now confirmed for Fox 8, this should free up some time slots for some sitcoms.

Still say 43 is the favorite to snag "Modern Family", which is the big prize in this year's crop of new syndicated off-network reruns.

I can not believe that FOX 8 got The Test. It is not a good fit for them. It would fit in better on 43. They will have Wendy, Harvey, and Judy along with the number one news in Cleveland, that is dumb in my opinion for them to throw a trashy Jerry Springer knock off at 1. I wish they would have added Family Feud or either Access Hollywood Live or TMZ Live. The Test just does not seem to fit.

How does a conflict resolution show, and particularly the paternity test part, get real, particularly when the show first starts up. Where/how can they get willing real (not actors) participants when nobody knows who they are? If I seem sceptical about how real some of these things are, it's because I am. Wasn't Maury Povich well known before he got around to doing the paternity schtick? That would make it more logical for people to consent to come on the show.

According to the WUAB website they will begin to air Modern Family weeknights at 7pm on September 26th. Maybe they will move 2 and half men to 6 and OMG Insider and Inside Edition to 5 and push the talk show block back some. May be they will even bring back a full hour of 30 Rock at 11 and add Cleveland Show to late nights.

My guess is Modern Family will get either a full hour at 7pm or a half-hour at 7pm and a half-hour at 11pm, 11:30pm or 12am.

Wendy Williams premieres at 11 am on September 2nd on FOX 8. This is on Zap2it listings.

Any other listings for northeast ohio stations for that week?

Everybody else is business as usual.

The real moving and shaking occurs the week of the 9th, as the new stuff starts trickling in.

By the 23rd, we'll know how all the chips fell.

Interesting to see how the stations reposition the programming come late September. I wonder where 43 will put Two and a Half Men now that Modern Family is taking over the 7 and 7:30 timeslots.

At least 55 will have more sitcoms to offer in the late afternoon/early evening slots if 43 still insists on sitcoms from 7 to 8 and Midnight until 4 or 5 in the morning.

Just found out from a little birdie that "The Simpsons" will air in the Fall on WUAB Saturday nights at midnight for an hour, with "Family Guy" weeknights at 2:30 a.m.

Will Family Guy still air in weekends on WUAB? Also, will the Simpsons air weeknights? If this is a for sure thing on WUAB they will be tweaking their line up nearly everyday of the week.

That is messed up. Those shows need to be on at earlier times.

What else is 43 airing and changing in the Fall?

Maybe they are putting Family Guy and Simpsons on at 2am because American Dad and/or The Cleveland Show will be on at 1am. May be they will also move the talk shows before 5pm and move the tabloid shows to 5pm. They can then have the comedy shows on at 6 and 7. Then of course news at 10 then comedies at 11 and 12.

Heard from another little birdie today...

WKYC is moving Rachael Ray to 11 a.m., Live on Lakeside is being reduced to a half hour at noon, "The Doctors" get bumped up to 2 p.m., Bethanny Frankel's new talk show at 3, Ellen at 4 and Dr. Phil at 5 leading into the news.

I do not know why they do not make Live on Lakeside a full hour from 12 to 1pm. Also on another note I hope that they put Family Feud back on 43 now that Anderson and Jeremy Kyle are leaving and they will have a couple of open slots.

1. Live on Lakeside must not be doing all that well in the ratings
2. They don't want to lose that infomercial cash at 12:30

If "Family Feud" comes back, the more logical place would be on WOIO, since they're loaded with game shows. Heck, put a double shot of "Feud" at 9 a.m. on 19, and slide "America Now" over to WUAB since they're loaded with talk shows anyway.

Maybe 19 should have Millionaire at 3 and put Feud on at 3:30, and at 9am Wheel repeats and 9:30 Jeopardy repeats. Than they can move the America now to 43 at 10. Then they can move Wilkos to 2pm, Springer to 3pm and Muary at 4 with Tabloids at 5, sitcoms 6-8, and 11pm and on to 3 or 4am.

That's not bad actually.
