MANCOW !!
The CHICAGO SUN-TIMES' ROBERT FEDER is reporting that EMMIS and INFINITY are negotiating a deal that would shake up the CHICAGO morning scene, moving MANCOW MULLER from EMMIS Alternative WKQX (Q101) to INFINITY's Talk WCKG as HOWARD STERN's replacement.
MULLER would also air on "at least" six other INFINITY stations as STERN's replacement. At the same time (which FEDER says is targeted for SEPTEMBER 22, the beginning of the FALL ARBITRON book), EMMIS would bring JONATHAN BRANDMEIER back to the market for mornings at its Classic Rock WLUP. BRANDMEIER had his biggest success in mornings at THE LOOP before heading to LOS ANGELES, where he most recently handled mornings at KCBS-F (ARROW 93.1) before the station flipped to the "JACK-FM" format.
