That's odd...What's CHUM FM doing nowadays?...I thought they were doing some form of a Saturday night dance party?<P ID="signature">______________

CKOT-FM "Easy 101" in Tillsonburg has the "Saturday Night Dance Party". Now that is REAL classic dance, way before the 80s...the kind of stuff I could see Canadian Idol's Steffi D enjoying. I'm sure that station can be picked up in the western GTA, or at least Hamilton.

What is CFHK-FM (Rancid, er, Fresh FM) doing in the dance department? I know they say "The New 1031 Fresh FM is the premier meeting place for females in London."

Does CKOT Stream?

CKOT doesn't even have a website, let alone a stream.

I could have sworn there was some sort of stream, even with no web site.

This was all I could find.
It may be proof that I'm wrong, but it also seems to be a good guide to what's out there for radio, without even having to visit a radio station's website.

Toronto could use a station like Movin 99.7 in SF....I think it might work.....they play classic dance along with today's stuff and there be enough Canadian content to be played too........

Are they "Dance" or "Rythmic...whatever"?
The "other" board out there (the "insight" one) just launched a new board to seperate dance and rythmic.

Well..there's always Kon Kan for Can-Con.... ;D

On a related note, remember when you could hear dance music on an "alternative" station? (actually 2, if you count Niagara's "The Planet").
Somehow I don't see a dance based "Club 102" returning anytime soon.

Agreed. Toronto could use a movin' format, but who would do it, and what about the 35-40 percent can con regs?

If anything, 88five would be the first to go for it, if it were viable...but I think their plan is to leave(sister station) 88five with the (much) older crowd and continue to throw in more way back playbacks with their current new music format.
(expecially when the signal for 88five is terrible in Toronto anyway.)
