Just to be up front there is no proof or FCC filing that I found. On Monday (OCT 8) I was eating lunch downtown at Mitchell's Steak House on 3rd (in between Gay and Broad) with a client. The client advised me that the table behind him was discussing when an "On Air" date should be determined? We began to discuss our business and then someone showed up at their table. I heard the guy say, "So, what have you come up to an airing date for us?" We bagn to listen closely (LOL, being nosey as it seemed to get interesting.) The were discussing first quarter 2008. Then a real young guy showed up and they began to discuss about possible formats. I heard the young guy discussing, Hip Hop Hits, Urban Contemporary as a possible format. Then I heard the older guy say, "I think our slogan should still remain, Columbus's is Blazin with best hip hop only on Blazin 102 (not sure if it was 102 or something in the 100's).

They had books showing Columbus's ratings and maps of signal tower status. When we left we saw FCC paperwork and a location of 180 E. Broad Street as an address which I found to be just the old Borden Building.

Anyone heard about something new coming to Columbus?????

WHOA. That would be awesome. They definetely need some to. I would like to see a good CHR Rhythmic come in and blaze the city with the right NEW MUSIC.

2 comments.... number one, either that was some big type on the paper, or you guys were reeeealy nosy to see an address while passing a table... lol

number 2, isnt the borden building the site for WHOK's translator at 102.3? sorry, too lazy to look it up...

The EEO is in the Bordon Building if I am not mistaken. Could mean nothing.

If i remember Power 107 has their antenna on the top of the Bordon building

Yea, we got real nosy when we heard them disussing and made it a point to go by when leaving. They had a lay out and it was easy to read what they were looking at. I do believe the Power 's signal gets broadcasted from top of that building. Like I said, I haven't seen nothing on-line or the FCC page to support that a new station is coming in the form of a hip-hop station to Columbus. Although, I am searching daily. I guess we will have to wait and see.

suspect the translator might not exist with the 102.5 move in...and it is on the WBNS candelabra antenna.
